Week 11 Reading

1) What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations? How much strategy and planning goes into creating a successful business.
2) Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.
The man part that was confusing was how much time is actually invested in each one and how to successfully measure trade offs.
3) If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?
How would I be able to know where exactly I am lacking in terms of trade offs? Because I feel that I wouldn't be able to find these things personally. And is crowd sourcing always the best solution? because I feel when it comes to certain tech or medical solutions the experts know best.
4) Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?
No I agree with everything the author speaks on.

The Amazon Whisper

  • Describe the revenue drivers you currently include in your business concept for this class. Revenue drivers are the different ways you make money.  Well for my app I hope to have a subscription base. On top of that I will have revenue from app advertisers and coupon advertisers who want there coupons to be used primarily over others.
  • Describe what kind of product offering you believe should be next. What's the next thing your customers want?  I am thinking either app improvement or a different app that applies these discount before purchase is made just to give more reason for the consumer to use it.

  • Describe how this "next" thing will enhance your existing product/service offering. Does it improve the user experience, does it increase customer switching costs, does it foster customer loyalty, etc.? Yes because improving on speed and customer satisfaction always brings customers.
  • What are the customer reviews for the product? What, exactly, do customers not like about the product? What do they like about it? That basically it is done and a lot of stores wont approve its use.
  • Describe what design/usability changes you'd make to the product. Speed and better customer service. Also, being able to market the app properly.
  • Describe why you think this product would make a good addition to your current product/service offering. Improvements are always a good thing.

the differences between certain principles and where exactly do these numbers come from.
3) If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?
How I would get these numbers from a firm you want to venture into? because some of this is very private info.  also if it is a start up and you want to see a similar companies numbers ? because this is private info and companies don't want competition.
4) Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How? I agree with everything that is said but I also believe that with this methodology with further practice that person will be successful.

Elevator Pitch 3

What stood out to me most was a comment that said to add maybe recipes and different components to take it all the way from the grocery store to the dinner plates at your house. Also, what I found was another piece of good advice was to make it sound natural. So I think I made it more natural and spoke more from the top of my head with a idea instead of word for word what I was going to say.

Whats your secret sauce?

1) Describe five ways in which you think you have human capital that is truly unique. What is it about you, exactly, that makes you different? Write this up in a detailed list.
What makes me difference between other companies is a passion to continue no matter what. Also, even though I would enter a very heavily crowded mark I would still be able to adjust and create opportunity through the big pro
fit margin in the organic industry. Also, with a surge in demand for organic supermarkets we can create more demand for the app by adding in specials and information on seasonal fruits and veggies that are on sale.
2) Interview the five people who know you the best.
Very short interview about me. She is a good friend of mine and she believe that I am a good leader.
Chris is a very close friend. He believes that I can rally a group towards success.
Ishan believes that I am selfless and able to rally a team. With this he believes that I make everyone better.
Taken from another phone because mine died. But melody believe that I have great leadership abilities
.Haliey describes me as a dedicated young professional and wants to be just like me. Thank you for reading and watching.

3) Reflect on the differences.
I believe that the way I perceive myself is how people see is exactly how I want to be perceived and try and be perceived because I do try and be great. I really work hard to achieve what I presue.

Idea Napkin 2

You. My name is Fernando Perez and I am a food and resource economics major. Based on some of the feed back I received I would like to revamp my idea into a whole new one.
2) What are you offering to customers? What I would like to do is create an electronic shopping list that gives you the best deals in prices like no other. Creating formulas and working coupons together to get the best deal on groceries possible.
3) Who are you offering it to? My customers are very broad. They all enjoy to shop and save money which is everyone.
4) Why do they care? Because people love to pay for convience and they love ot save money. With a small nomial subscpition they will see that it will pay for it self.
5) What are your core competencies
My core competencies are putting the consumer first. Showing them that there are people who are look out for them and their families by saving money.
I believe in these five things because I love to help people, this is something I actually have had to study on. I also believe save time is better than save money and when you can accomplish both is when you can be successful.

I changed most of my idea by instead of them going out and using these tactics they would be able to scan these items and pick them up at a local supermarket. The feed back I mostly got was there were similar apps on the market so I decide to make it better.
